Was contacted by Hal's Masonry, Inc. a few days ago. They are a local business out of Grayling, Mi - about 20 miles from my location. Owner came out yesterday to size up the job and answer questions. Am currently waiting to receive the job details and written estimate. Initial impression is positive. Owner was knowlegable and responsive. Using your 11-point checklist as a guide, this company seems to meet most of the requirements set forth. Only after the estimate and job details are recieved will I be able to fully rate this company, however. This is the second of two bids put out, so I haven't made a decision at this point.

Need to have driveway repaired using same type of concrete present in the driveway. Ice melt and snow removal over years has diminished the smooth driveway when this townhome community was built in 1997. If job if done correctly at a reasonable price, the contractor will probably get more work from other neighbors with driveways in the same need of repair. Need estimates to determine affordability; how long to repair the driveway, how long before car can be driven on driveway, any discounts available.

We have an asphalt over decomposed concrete driveway. We need the current asphalt/concrete removed and replaced with concrete. There is also a clay-tile culvert at the entrance to the driveway that needs to be replaced.
