I HAVE AN APROX. 1000 FT. RESIDENTIAL DRIVEWAY THAT NEEDS TO BE TURNED OVER AND NEW ASPHALT APPLIED TO THE REVISED UNDERLAYMENT/BASE. IN THIS AREA, THE NATURAL SOIL IS A \'GUMBO\'/CLAY MIXTURE. THE CURRENT DRIVEWAY HAS DETERIORATED TO THE POINT IT MUST BE FIXED. THE BASE/ UNDER-LAYMENT THAT THE ORIGINAL CONTRACTOR DID WAS SUB-STANDARD AND THE CROWN WAS LEFT IN THE MIDDLE SO THAT THICKNESS IS ONLY ABOUT 1\". TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY, A FEW ELECTRICAL POWER COMPANY TRUCKS(IN EXCESS OF 3 TONS EA) HAVE ACTUALLY TORN UP THE DRIVE EVEN FURHTER DUE TO WORK THEY HAVE DONE ON OUR PROPERTY. THE ONLY THING I CAN THINK TO DO NOW IS HAVE A CONTRACTOR GRIND/TURN-UNDER THE CURRENT DRIVE TO MAKE A NEW, SOLID UNDERLAYMENT TO APPLYH A NEW ASPHALT DRIVE ON TOP OF.
