I'm trying to decide between a 2" top coat or a 1 1/2 " topcoat. Would Patrick be able to tell from pictures or a video which I should choose. Only one contractor in my area has suggested I need a 2" on my 40 year old driveway. Thanks. I've gotten numerous e-mails and looked at all of your videos.

I did contact a local company for an estimate but they have not returned my phone call. I was also searching for landscaping services on the web and found a company that does landscaping and concrete, so I called, he came to the house, I now have the estimate and I will be going with a concrete driveway instead of asphalt. Current, site is un-built lot. Plan will be to build a lot to service one or two buildings owned by us on the block. My preliminary sketch shows that we could have a 8,291 square foot surface with one way lane that is entered/exited from alley, serving 21 standard 90 degree spaces (9\'x18\'), 4 parallel spaces (21\'x8\'), one handicap accessible space with access aisle (16\'x18\') and around 1,405 square feet of interior landscaping. Design may change based on tenant needs, but this should be pretty close.
