We hired Allure Construction from your recommendation, the job started yesterday with the demolition of the old driveway. Forms and rebar and supposed to happen today. So far this contractor has been quite responsive with emails and activity.
Was contacted by Hal's Masonry, Inc. a few days ago. They are a local business out of Grayling, Mi - about 20 miles from my location. Owner came out yesterday to size up the job and answer questions. Am currently waiting to receive the job details and written estimate. Initial impression is positive. Owner was knowlegable and responsive. Using your 11-point checklist as a guide, this company seems to meet most of the requirements set forth. Only after the estimate and job details are recieved will I be able to fully rate this company, however. This is the second of two bids put out, so I haven't made a decision at this point.

Removal and replace 2 sections of driveway, approximately 7 X 10 feet each. Roots under one section have to be ground down. Also, new sidewalk in back yard next to garage, approximately 4 X 20 feet.
We have several areas of cracked and sunken concrete in our driveway, and also at the entrance to the garage. I\'d estimate that our driveway is about 100 feet long and not much wider than the width of a standard car. It keeps getting worse and we\'d like it repaired before snowfall! Thank you.

I would like to replace the existing driveway (all the OLD concrete). The driveway is especially bad & crumbled near the garage. If the bids are higher than I can afford, I may have to be satisfied with just fixing the worst areas. But for now, please bid the entire driveway from the sidewalk to the garage. Assume that all the OLD concrete will come out and be replaced. There is a strip of NEW concrete between the driveway and the house\'s foundation that does not need to be replaced. ps- We have had water problems in the basement, so it is imperative that the rain does NOT drain toward the house. I have a stamped concrete driveway that was installed about 8-9 years ago and would like it sealed. Please contact me by email or phone to set up an inspection. I am also planning to have a common driveway blacktopped and would like this done prior to that happening.
