I have a driveway that has cracks and very uneven concrete, they are uneven by 1 or more inches. I\'m thinking either poor soil, poor compaction, or poor drainage is the problem. There is a slope from the street down where the concrete slabs meet, then it slopes slightly up towards the garage doors. In the 11 years we have been in this house, our garage has never flooded. I have had 4 concrete bids. All had great reviews online. 2 concrete contractors said I didn\'t need drains because sloping was enough. 2 contractors said I needed drains across the driveway. How can I tell which are correct as it is a difference in price of 1000s of dollars.

Need a complete replacement of concrete driveway and sidewalk to house steps.
