I planned to repair large asphalt driveway and did get one bid for that, but your comparisons of driveway types/maintenance led me to change to a complete replacement with concrete. But I was unable to get much help with local contractors from site.
I had a dig out and new install for my old asphalt driveway. The contractor really wanted to do an overlay but I insisted on a full replacement. The did a good job but drove the roller on my lawn, dumped hot asphalt in the street leaving a stain.

Now we would like the second half paved up to the top of the hill (marked by red paint lines), but not including the parking area at top. And to have the cracks in the old asphalt sealed.
