I was only contacted by Lawson Construction. I found the gentleman personable and knowledgeable. I showed him my problems. He explained how he would fix them in detail. After getting 3 quotes, I just mailed my contract to Lawson. They are supposed to do the job at the end of July.

Appx 3,000 sf driveway on steep grade (~160\' x 14\' with parking at top). Existing is original 30 year old asphalt and is alligatored, has some large pot holes completely down to stone and low areas along tire paths. Halfway down the sewer was repaired where it passes underneath and then poorly patched and is very low after settling. Settling at garage slab is also bad. Need a very strong driveway due to future workshop being built behind house (2-3 years from now) and will have concrete truck traffic to complete. First estimate was $9,000 to have it completely removed and a new 3\" base done with 9/5, followed up after workshop construction with final coat. Is this a good plan? Is it a good price? Thank you.
